The Heroic Legend of Arslan Episode 8

The Treasonous Hero

Summary: After Gieve tries to save Farangis, who in no why needs his savings, he falls for her and fallows her on her quest to find Arslan and serve him. Karlan is trying to find Arslan and one of his sailors tells him that they are heading north after a peasant told him of their were about.

Narsus has set up a trap using the terrain in their favor and used word of mouth to get the troups there. He was the one who told every one they were heading north. Narsus meets Farangis and Gieve and they find out they are all on the same side and help one an other against Karlan's army.

Arslan is up on a cliff calling to the sailors and him and Elam take out the sailors one by one. The army is soon scared off, as they are attached by the whole company. Karlan goes after Arslan only to be intercepted by Daryun.

Karlan and Daryun fight on horse back with spears. Daryun pushed Karlan off his horse and he falls on to his own spear. Karlan's dying words are that Andragoras, the king, is still alive. Farangis and Gieve swear their loyalty to Arslan. And Arslan asks Farangis to say a payer for the fallen sailors.

After the end credits we see that Andragoras is alive and Silver Mask reveals him self as Hermes the Kings nephew and rightful heir to the thrown.

My thoughts: I like this show. It can be a bit predictable at times but still well written. Also, it as almost a small scale game of thrones aspect to it. It isn't as complex, as no one is as they seem, but every one does have their own agenda in some way or an other. Arslan is still very much a child, he has grown from the first episode were he couldn't see any thing die in front of him to being able to kill those trying to kill him. But, he keeps his innocence since he wanted Farangis to say a payer for those who had fallen.
Talking about Farangis, how the fuck does her clothes stay on? I'm just wondering and how is it even covering anything!? That does not look comfortable at all.
