Oldie but Goodie- Lupin III

Lupin III was first published in 1967, since then it has spowned numerous manga, five anime tv series, six theatrically released movies (one directed by Hayao Miyazaki), two live action films, a two part short film, five OVAs, 25 tv specials, CDs, video games, and a musical. The is still an anime that is being aired today. Lupin III was all created by Kazuhiko Kato that goes by the pen name Monkey Punch.
Lupin III is about a thief, he is considered the world's greatest thief. He is know for announcing his intentions to steal valuable odjects by sending a calling card to the owners of his desired items. His main ally and right hand man is Daisuke Jigen, a marksman who can accurately shoot a target in 0.3 seconds. They normally work in a two man team but are often joined by Goemon Ishikawa XII, a master swordsman whose sword can cut anything. Also, Fujiko Mine, a femme fatal and Lupin's love interest. Fujiko usually works together with the others, but occasionally exploits Lupin's interest in her to steal the treasure herself. Lupin and his gang are constantly chased by Inspector Koichi Zenigata of the ICPO, who has made it his life's work to arrest them, chasing Lupin across the globe.
The reason this series is still on the air is that even though it's older, it has a classic feel that does not age. It's not a show that is stuck in the time that it is written in. You can easily take all of these characters and put them in any time you would like. They don't feel dated or over used. The characters adapt to the setting they are in.
This series is great for every one.It is an adult manga and anime, so I don't suggest it for kids because there are a lot of boobs and butts. But, every one else who is old enough to see boobs and butts should watch one of the anime series or read the manga. There is a reason that it is still going and going strong.
