Let's Start This Deathless Death Match
The problem with may animes is that the main character is annoying. They have completely bought into their own bullshit and come off as stupid and arrogant. This is what has happened here, kind of. Hotaru has such a strong sense of justice that it clouds all of her other judgement. If she feel that some one is in the wrong then they are in the wrong. Even if they didn't do anything. It is good that she can take blame though and admit when she is wrong. When Masamune fully explains what happened between him and her friend, Hotaru realizes she is wrong. Unlike many other protagonist who can't see when they are wrong, they are always right and never wrong.
The survival game aspect of this show, which what the whole plot is based upon. Is quite interesting. Since guns are not legal to be owned in Japan that adds a whole other layer to Hotaru seeing Masamune with one. And, it's more understandable that he has fake guns and plays survival games. Which sound awesome by the way. This show has potential to really be interesting and more about strategy and the survival games. The show will be great if they also add character development to it as well.
