Battle! Student Council vs. Railways Club Part One
We then go back into to about a day earlier. It is raining outside. Inside the railways club room Towiwa and Minani are complaining that the weather and it's humidity, and how it effects their hair. Midori and Sakura are on the opposite end saying that they like the rain and find it calming.
Suddenly Saiko barges into their club room. She hand Towiwa a flyer. Towiwa instently trows it away stating "trash goes in the trashcan". Usgai instits that she should at least read the flyer before throwing it away. Towiwa does so then throws it away. Midori and Sakura then read the flyer telling everyone that there is going to be a quiz competion for the clubs. There will be "Glamorous prizes". Towiwa has a bad feeling about it, since the flyer came from Saiko.
Switch to the quiz show that we were at in the opening, "Quiz Saitamaia". Even one but Saiko seem slightly confused as to what is going on. Kojika even leans over to Saiko to ask who the hell this person is, the host. Towiwa really just wants to know how much this costs. Saiko avoids talking about it.
But the host reveals what the prize is going to be. All the charaters are in aw. The audience only sees golden light shining on them. Towiwa now insists that they have to win. Usagi gives a voice over about how important this is, lightning crashes afterward. Saiko then breaks the fourth wall and tells her to stop adding weird voice overs. The episode ends with Usagi apologizing to the audience.
The battle begins NEXT EPISODE.
I think this show is cute but really hasn't had much of a plot for the first few episodes. This episode is starting to actually have some form of plot, unlike many of the other ones. When Usagi and Towiwa were asked the question, I'm not really suprized that they didn't know the answer. No one in the show really seem to be very smart. I felt like it was a very typicall girl thing to worry about their hair. But, this is a very simple anime so it makes sense that they are sticking to simple things like that.
Every time I see the president, Saiko, I can't help but agree with Towiwa. How the hell did she become president. I'm not sure how it works in Japanese schools but she really doesn't seem like some one who should be in charge of anything. Same thing goes with her uniform, how is that allowed at school in any shape or form. She does remind me of Yui from the band Girl Dead Monster in Angel Beats.
I did really like how Towiwa just throws away the flyer. That is most likely the best course of action. Especially when it comes to dealing with Saiko. Is Towiwa the only smart one here in not trusting her? I mean really?
I thought the game show all be it very anime. is so over the top that it kind of fits in this anime. But, really this is a middle school, but it's anime logic we don't question anime logic. You just don't. Also, I always find it a little creepy if an other character can hear an other's thoughts. I guess again just an other random thing you don't question about anime. *shrug*
