Pandy and Retro wake up on Earth, naked and with no memories. They go on a crime spree for food, clothing, and a ride. They are captured by the authorities and are sent to the infamous lunar prison, Dead Leaves. While there, they discover Dead Leaves is also a top secret cloning facility, run by evil guard and occupied by deformed genetic experiments.
First things first this is just a fun wild crazy ride of a movie. Also, it's one of the most original pieces of animation that you'll ever see. The story is easy to fallow. Which is good because the world very new and interesting. So, the simple plot makes the world easier to understand and accept. Even though the plot is easy to fallow there is still very much a sense of "what is going on?"
The animation is very reminiscent of american animation. But, it still has a very anime feel to it. through out the movie there are multiple split screes used. They really add to the movie giving you a lot of information all at once.
Dead Leaves is a fin wild ride the whole way but, do not watch this with small children, your parents, grandparents, or any one who is easily offended. Because it is a movie for people who know what they are getting in to. It is wrong on so many levels. There is blood guts and gore, poop jokes, bad language, very raunchy scenes and lines, and few parts that are just plain disturbing.
Watch this movie if you want to be entertained for an hour. But, be mindful that if you get offended by any of the above mentioned, do not watch it at all.
